Carrying on the theme of yesterday’s post, today I received my digital copy of the new Amanda Palmer album ‘Theatre is Evil,’ which I also paid for before I’d heard a single note. I first came across Amanda Palmer’s music on Last.FM and it was only later on that I figured out her connection to writer Neil Gaiman. This album was funded via Kickstarter, but there were various levels of bonus goodies on offer for those who were willing to cough up cash, in addition to the music itself. I got a rather funky digital art book and some B-sides to download, as well as a couple of ‘behind the scenes’ videos from the run up to the album’s release. All good fun, great value and based on the 33.3% of the album I’ve heard – some top tunes to boot!
