The Humperdinck Factor

The Eurovision Song Contest has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. In fact I should really just admit that these days no guilt is involved – it’s just a pleasure. I enjoy the strangeness of the music, the politic machinations of the voting and the general camp sense of fun it all has. I’ve att ended Eurovision twice, in Helsinki and Oslo but will it be coming back to the UK in 2013? Who can say at this stage? As long as Humperdinck comes in the top ten he’s an improvement on Blue’s performance last year. Seeing as he’s played more gigs than the rest of the entrants combined, I think his chances are good.
